A small plate fixes to the side of the frame, and a pivoting latch lever screws to the front of the frame, hooking over the plate. Pull down on the ring and the lever draws the window shut.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe tension of the latch can be easily adjusted during installation, so the fastener will suit your window exactly.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eAntique brass is what’s called a ‘living’ finish because it reacts to the air and moisture around it, causing it to darken (especially in the areas you touch most).
