As proud sponsors of the Kips Bay, Palm Beach event taking place in Florida throughout March 2026, our designs have been featured in 15 rooms throughout the show house.

We wanted to know how the designers involved used our collections in their projects – and just what they thought of them.

For our first reflection on the event, we spoke to four prominent designers who felt our products were just what their spaces needed.

Steven Walsh is an interior designer who divides his time between New York City and south Florida. He was awarded two spaces at the Kips Bays show house.

‘I didn’t have a preconceived idea, but knew I had to do something to knock it out of the park,’ he tells us.

‘I’ve designed what I’ve called the Botanical Hallway, which is based on the three-dimensional botanical wall coverings, while the bathroom uses entirely slab marble.

‘The Corston finish I’ve chosen in the hallway is [antique] brass, because I wanted it to bring out the brass overlay on the floor, but in the bathroom, I used polished nickel. I love polished nickel.

The theme of the event is luxury, but Steven insists: ‘How I define luxury is through craftsmanship and execution. I chose Corston because of the quality of the material. It’s so beautifully made and so beautifully executed.’

Amy Lee McArdle is an interior designer based in Palm Beach, Florida, who runs Amy Young Designs.

‘I was born in New York but grew up in Seoul, South Korea,’ she tells us, ‘and that really shaped my design and how I view spaces.

‘In Seoul the idea of luxury is very subtle, and I love reverting back and designing my spaces from that perspective. ‘The kitchen and breakfast room I’ve designed for Kips Bay is about mixing different colours and hues and textures, creating a space that’s subtly luxurious. Luxury doesn’t need to shout, and you should feel happy doing the things that make up everyday life.

‘The Corston finishes are the last detail that brings everything together.’

Lisa Erdmann is another designer based in Palm Beach itself. ‘But we design homes all around the United States and the Caribbean,’ she explains.

‘Our Kips Bay room is called the Royal Retreat, and our muse is Princess Margaret. This room represents her property on the island of Mustique in the Caribbean. Formal but casual, it’s inspired by her spirit.

‘We designed the room with the wallpaper as our inspiration, feeling that the blue and white seemed very Caribbean.

‘We don’t just have fittings from Corston but lamps, some great shelf brackets in the bar, and door hardware. We love the products and we’re no longer papering over the plates in the room; we’re making them a design element now.’

Finally, Danielle Balanis is a designer from Birmingham, Alabama who loves working with fabrics, wallpapers and prints.

‘I wanted to get a hero print that I could really cocoon the space with,’ she tells us in the guest room she’s styled. ‘I settled on a Lee Jofa Oscar de la Renta fabric, [called] the Jessup, that’s also a wallpaper so we could put it on everything. It’s a study of how the same thing on repeat can be very powerful.

‘Someone earlier talked to me about this room and how it felt like falling into their jewellery box, and how it was something they wanted to get lost in.

‘The antique brass from Corston is really beautiful against the chocolate in the paper. It’s a lovely pairing. And then there are also bits of silver and chrome sprinkled around, and I think the brass pairs nicely with them and creates a good juxtaposition.’
