Simple and bold but well-proportioned, Harper is a modern door handle that, thanks to its timeless Antique Brass finish, also wouldn’t be out of place with more traditional architecture.
It comes with a sprung mechanism inside which is strong enough to take the weight of the solid brass handle and stop it sagging over time. It means you can pair it with any latch.
There’s also no danger of the handle coming away – the spindle is threaded onto the handle which holds it in place.
Antique Brass is what’s called a ‘living’ finish because it reacts to the air and moisture around it and gets darker over the first three months, especially in the areas you touch it most.
We’ve also given it a head start by ageing it by hand before sending it out, so it has that antique look right out the box.
Because Harper has a low-profile rose, we’ve had to design the mechanism so it recesses into your door. You’ll need a 45mm drill bit to install it and our retrofit jig to get the hole in the right place.

I had a bit of a headache with door openings. I was going to reusue old beehive door knobs that just didn't play nicely with any of the fittings I bought so I decided to upgrade my options and get the Harper sprung handles, these are lovely, lovely to operate, they look great and my carpenter was very happy to fit them. I've since bought a few in the bronze finish too.
